Grand Rounds at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA
Grand Rounds is a time-honored tradition of medical education. To an audience of colleagues, medical students and residents, doctors present interesting patient cases, discuss medical problems and the sequence of treatments. Such a forum helps develop the clinical reasoning skills of medical students and residents, and also alerts the community of doctors to new presentations of disease. It is a unique and enriching opportunity for physicians and scientists to gather and share ideas in such an academic forum.
Here at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Grand Rounds remains an integral part of graduate medical education.
